The Malarplasty or Zygomatic Implant Surgery is an operation used to correct the zygomatic hypoplasia (reduced development of the zygomatic bones, congenital or acquired). It is done through the malar prosthesis implants in solid silicon, introduced orally through upper gingival fornix, or with the use of Dermal Fillers injected directly on the periosteum or autologous adipose tissue plant (Lipofilling). In recent years, the use of the prosthesis, for their invasivity and the high incidence of complications, has been gradually substituted by Dermal Fillers and Lipofilling, that allow good correction of the problem, without particular complications or side effects.
